After installing the game for the first time, the resolution mode is set to fixed resolution 1024 x 768, and launching it from the Alien Arena Installer didn't force mode "Custom". Because of that, it wouldn't open in full screen but always used the 1024 x 768 resolution until you manually switched the setting to "Custom" inside the game. This is now fixed.
